Thalia to bring rain and thunderstorms to Athens in the afternoon

Rain and even thunderstorms are expected to hit Attica in the afternoon due to the arrival of the weather front Thalia, the meteo weather service of the Athens National Obseravatory said on Friday.

Meanwhile, rainstorms struck the region of Thessaloniki during the night and created numerous problems, mostly in the area of Langadas. The meteo service recorded 78 mm of precipitation in approximately 3.5 hours and a total of 90mm by early Friday.

According to the latest forecast by meteo.gr for Friday, the third day since Thalia arrived in Greece, the bad weather conditions will spread to a large part of the country with the only exception being the region of Thrace, the island of Evia and probably the island of Crete.
