Positive measures are fully costed, Achtsioglou says

"The package of positive measures voted by the parliament is fully costed and is within the fiscal room available after the achievement of the 3.5 percent primary surplus target," Labour Minister Effie Achtsioglou said late on Thursday in an interview with Open Beyond TV.

The 13th pension will be paid out on Monday, she said adding that this is a permanent measure. Achtsioglou also said that from 2014 until 2018, pensions were increased by 20 euros.

"Since 2019, we have protected pensions and there have been small increases in low pensioners. In particular, as of January 1, 2019, 620,000 pensioners have seen increases in their pensions. Also, from January 1, 2019, the recalculation only works positively," she added.
