The second round of local elections on Sunday, June 2, will see mayoral contests for a total of 226 municipalities, including the major cities of Athens, Iraklio (Crete), Larissa, Patras, Piraeus and Thessaloniki.
The first round results (May 26) for these cities are as follows:
Athens: Costas Bakoyannis (42,66%) - Nassos Iliopoulos (16.97%)
Iraklio, Crete: Yiannis Kourakis (36.71%) - Vassilios-Georgios Lambrinos (24.12%)
Larissa: Apostolos Kalogiannis (42.52%) - Rena Karalariotou (39.85%)
Patras: Costas Peletidis (40.60%) - Grigoris Alexopoulos (16.01%)
Piraeus: Yiannis Moralis (45.34%) - Nikos Vlahakos (27.13%)
Thessaloniki: Nikos Tahiaos (22.37%) - Constantinos Zervas (14.86%) - Giorgos Orfanos (14.54%), all with 93.89% of all votes counted
