Supreme Court gives 20 parties and coalitions a 'green light' to run in the elections

The Supreme Court (Areios Paghos) on Wednesday gave the green light to 20 parties, coalitions and independent candidates to run for office in the upcoming general elections on July 7.

Six of the political parties that applied to participate in the elections were excluded, either because they lacked the necessary documents or because there was a problem with the party's name.

It is worth noting that 40 parties and party coalitions took part in the recent elections for the European parliament.
