Shipping Min. Kouvelis: Port dev't in Greece to be based on subconcessions model

A model based on sub-concessions to develop a port will be applied in all ten of the largest Greek ports, Shipping Minister Fotis Kouvelis said in statements at the port organisation of Volos on Wednesday.

Kouvelis said that the model is being applied in over 80 pct of the European ports and benefit societies.

The growth model is based on Volos port master plan, and supports fair development, since the benefits of investments are reaped by many people, Kouvelis said.
