Greek banks to charge more for ATM cash withdrawals with other banks' cards

Greek banks will introduce increased charges on cash withdrawals from ATMs for debit cards issued by Greek banks, starting July 22, 2019. These charges refer to cash withdrawals from another bank's ATM, banking sources said on Monday.

Banks will continue to offer charge-free cash withdrawals from the same bank's ATMs. This action implements community directive 924 over a unified treatment of European citizens in the pricing of banking services.
