Eurogroup agenda on July 8 to include Greek economy review

The state of the Greek economy will be on the Eurogroup's agenda when it meets on July 8, a Eurozone source said on Monday.

The Eurogroup will discuss the Greek economy as part of the third report on enhanced surveillance, following the completion by the country of its fiscal adjustment programs.

Speaking to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the source said that although EU Finance Ministers are aware the meeting is scheduled for the day after Greek general elections, they decided to discuss the issue then as a way of sending "the right message" to the government that emerges.
