Skouries gold mine talks between Min. Chatzidakis, investors
According to a ministry announcement, a joint committee will be set up to promote the investment with ministry and company specialists. They will discuss all outstanding issues, including environmental, financial and developmental.
The government plans to support the gold mining works at Skouries mines in the Halkidiki peninsula, and to respect all necessary environmental rules, as the prime minister has already committed to, Environment and Energy Minister Kostis Chatzidakis told investor Eldorado Gold on Tuesday.
Chatzidakis and Deputy Minister Gerasimos Thomas met with Eldorado Gold President & CEO George Burns, and with high-level officials of the company's subsidiary in Greece.
