VAT on motorcyclists' helmets reduced to 13 pct from 24 pct

VAT on motorcyclists' helmets is reduced to 13 pct from the current 24 pct, was announced on Thursday, following a meeting of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the government's financial staff, and after his pledge during a Thursday visit to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for tax incentives related to the use of helmets by motorcyclists.

The provision will be incorporated into the government's second tax bill.
