State arrears to the private sector at 2.179 billion euros in June

State arrears to the private sector totaled 2.179 billion euros in June, from 2.182 billion in May, the Finance ministry said in a report on Monday.

The report said that 1.686 billion euros were general government arrears (down from 1.695 billion in May) and the remaining 493 million were pending tax returns (up from 487 million in May).

Social Insurance Organizations (594 million euros), state hospitals (546 million) and public sector enterprises (269 million euros) were top debtors.
