Refugees stage protest on living conditions in Veria

Refugees hosted at the accomodation centre of Aghia Varvara, in the region of Imathia, blocked on Wednesday the entrance to the centre by placing garbage bins and other objects protesting for their living conditions.

Police said that approximately 20 refugees are taking part in the protest without any tension being recorded so far.

The specific facility is situated on the outskirts of the city of Veria and is hosting about 300 refugees from Iraq and Syria.
