Draft state budget approved at parliamentary committee level

The draft state budget was approved by the majority of MPs in the relevant parliamentary committee on Tuesday. The draft state budget will now be introduced to the plenum on Thursday and will be put to a vote.

Ruling New Democracy's deputies voted for the draft law, while votes against were cast by MPs from main opposition SYRIZA, the Movement for Change (KINAL) party, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and MeRA25. The MPs of Elliniki Lysi abstained and said they would outline their position in the plenary.
