Navy General Staff dismisses print and electronic media reports

The Hellenic Navy's General Staff in a statement issued on Thursday denied print and electronic media reports referring to the loss of "140 mines" by the Naval Technical Installations Facility of Leros.

The Navy General Staff pointed out that the publications are false and do not correspond to reality.

According to the statement, the Navy does not have military equipment in its arsenal that is contrary to international treaties. It also noted that a preliminary investigation by the competent military and police authorities is underway.
